Place Lamartine by Jeroen Blokhuis

June 15, 2015

We’re delighted to share our new discovery: Place Lamartine by Jeroen Blokhuis

It’s a first novel by Dutch author Jeroen Blokhuis and a fictional account of Vincent van Gogh’s years in Arles where he painted many of his masterpieces.

Place Lamartine is an exciting addition to Dutch literature.

Jeroen Blokhuis has published short stories in several Dutch literary magazines, and his story ‘Vroeger’, in Dutch, and ‘The Past,’ its English translation, were published in the Holland Park Press magazine.

Place Lamartine will be published on 6 September. There will be a special launch event for friends and readers on 6 September. Watch this space for more information.

Place Lamartine will be presented to the Dutch press and book community at Manuscripta in Zwolle on 5 September.

We have such high hopes of Place Lamartine that we have already scheduled an English translation, Lamartine Square, for 2016.
