On Monday evening, 24 April, we celebrated the launch of The Way to Hornsey Rise, an autobiographical novel by Jeremy Worman.
The publisher arrived early at the venue, the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon, London, but forgot to take off her reading glasses for this photo.
The audience chatting, waiting for author Jeremy Worman to appear on stage.
Jeremy gave us a few wonderful excerpts from his novel on the Betsey Trotwood’s excellent performance stage complete with good microphone and reader’s spotlight.
Jeremy is an excellent reader of prose and the audience is captivated.
Travis Elborough, who also helped organise the event, selected the atmospheric 1970s music, had prepared some thought-provoking questions and this resulted in a lively discussion.
Lots of books were sold and we were left with just a few remaining books.
A very successful evening and a big thank you to everyone who came a long and bought a book and to Jeremy’s wife Nicola and daughter Myfanwy who were excellent hosts.
If you couldn’t make it to the launch, you can buy your copy from this page.
