Photos from the Edge Hill Prize Awards Ceremony

October 28, 2019

First of all, we would like to thank Billy Cowan, Carolyn Stockdale and the Edge Hill staff for organising such a brilliant evening. Billy Cowan welcomes a packed audience:

Also, a big thank you to the judges Elizabeth Baines, Tessa Hadley and Sam Jordison for making feel all shortlisted authors very valued and proud to be there.

The readings were outstanding and just the right length and Vicky Grut read beautifully from ‘On the Way to the Church’ one of the stories in Live Show, Drink Included – collected stories. You can the entire story here.

Enjoy this interview with Vicky Grut about writing short stories.

Tessa Hadley announces the winner:

Congratulations to David Szalay for winning the Main Prize and the Reader’s Choice Award with Turbulence, and to Tamsin James for winning the Masters Prize.

A wonderful time was had by all at the reception afterwards and Waterstones Piccadilly was an excellent host of the event.

Finally, the delighted entire staff of Holland Park Press say goodbye to London to travel back home to Malmesbury.
