New title: The Stray American

June 19, 2014

We’re delighted to have signed up another wonder novel by an exciting author: The Stray American by Wendy Brandmark.

The Stray American beautifully captures the sense of rootlessness and search for identity. Set in 2003, Larry Greenberg escapes from his corporate law job in Boston to teach in a seedy American college near London’s Waterloo Station. We follow Larry, a flawed but engaging character, on his journey in search of a soulmate and a sense of purpose. Larry is not one of those who cannot return home, but is he condemned to forever consider himself to be an outsider?

Wendy Brandmark is a fiction writer, reviewer and lecturer. She writes both novels and short stories. Her first novel, The Angry Gods, (Dewi Lewis, 2003, US edition 2005) received excellent reviews. She grew up in the Bronx and went to university in Boston. London is now her home
The Stray American will be published in October.
