To mark the launch of her new short story collection Away from the Dead, Karen Jennings will read from this collection and discuss short stories with Felicitas Hoppe and Billy Kahora as part of the Open Book Festival in Cape Town South Africa.

The event is called the Genius of the Short Story and is chaired by Rachel Zadok. It takes place on 17 September at 4pm in the Fugard Annexe 1.

Karen Jennings debut novel Finding Soutbek was shortlisted for the inaugural Etisalat Prize for Literature 2013.
