After a very successful first appearance at the Boeken Uitmarkt last year, we’re delighted to announce that we will again set out our stall at the Boeken Uitmarkt 2014.
We’ll be presenting several new books including:
Where is My Mask of an Honest Man? a short story collection set around London’s famous Portobello Market by Laura Del-Rivo who shot to fame in the early 1960s when her debut novel was turned into a film West II by the late Michael Winner.
Hold Still by Cherry Smyth, a fictional account of the life of Joanne Hiffernan, muse and model of James Whistler and Gustave Courbet, which features the notorious painting L’Origine du Monde.
Diaspo/Renga a collaboration in alternating Renga by Marilyn Hacker and Deema Shehabi, was triggered by the conflict in Gaza.
You can find us at stall 53 from 11.00 to 19.00 on Saturday 30 August and from 11.00 to 19.00 on Sunday 31 August.
The stall will be manned by Dutch author Arnold Jansen op de Haar and the publisher. Do come along and find out more about how Holland Park Press works and get an update on our publishing plans.
We’re looking forward to meeting our Dutch readers at the opening of the Amsterdam cultural season.
