September is a month of culture and literature in Staffordshire and as local author David Ayres has been invited to take part.
He has appeared at a coffee morning at Lichfield Library on Saturday 8th September from 11am to 1pm, and here is a lovely picture of the author with Tony Thompson, a former Mayor of Lichfield.
David Ayres will also be at Burntwood Library on Saturday 22nd September from 11am until 1pm.
It’s an excellent opportunity to find out more about David’s short story collection Top of the Sixties, a wonderful account of growing up in a small West Midlands town during the 1960s.
You can read two excerpts of the stories A Sack of Spuds & Alastair’s Triumph and the complete story Awakening from this page.
David is looking forward to meeting you so have your questions ready, and you can find more about him & read his blogs on his author’s page.
