Around the World in 80 Books in Birmingham

We’re delighted to announce that Malcolm Burgess from Oxygen Books has invited us to be part of another Around the World in 80 Books, a reading feast featuring the very best in world writing.

Arnold Jansen op de Haar, writer, poet, as well as Holland Park Press’s literary adviser & expert on Dutch literature, will be reprising his enormously popular workshop. Last time the workshop was nearly oversubscribed so make sure you secure your place. Book your place for Going Dutch at 11.35 or 14.55.

Going Dutch will give you a temping taste of Dutch writers & poets and is guaranteed to make you laugh and move you. Previous knowledge of Dutch literature is not required.

This readers’ day offers a wonderful range of popular authors: Tracy Chevalier, author of Girl with a Pearl Earring, another Dutch connection & Beatrice Colin, publishers: Oxygen Books, Peirene Press & Holland Park Press, cultural institutes: Goethe Institute& English PEN and translators, plus competitions, workshops, goody bags, book lists and much more.
