I think this must be a first on Portobello Market: a wonderful reading of war poems, some of which are written from the point of view of the soldiers, others tell you about the suffering civilian population.
Arnold Jansen op de Haar will read from Yugoslav Requiem, a breathtaking testimony to the most recent war in Europe.
It’s free and takes place throughout the day, this Saturday, 14 April, in the Arts & Crafts section on Portobello market. The author will also be signing his books.
