Admire the portraits of your favourite authors

March 3, 2010

They call it De Nationale Schrijversgalerij, The National Collection of Writers’ Portraits. It is a permanent exhibition and opens to the public on the 5th of March.

On show are painted portraits and photographs of more than 500 writers from Louis Couperus to Toon Tellegen. They range from the 18th century to recent works of art.

Holland Park Press is very pleased to announce that a self portrait by Arnold Jansen op de Haar will be on show. Yes, you read that correctly, Arnold does not only write, he can also paint and you can check this out yourself at the Letterkundig Museum.

The official opening by Harry Mulisch takes place on the 4th of March, which is a nice coincidence as World Book Day is also celebrated on the date in the UK.

Arnold can report back to us as he has been invited to the opening ceremony.
