We are delighted to announce that Aziz Khan by Emma Musty has won our Living under Fire competition.
Aziz Khan follows a day in the life of an Afghani migrant in Calais who has escaped his war torn country.
The judges praised its originality, composition and rhythm. Emma Musty cleverly makes us see the world through Aziz Khan’s eyes without reverting to the first person. The judges also liked the metaphorical interpretation of the competition’s title Living under Fire. Aziz Khan is under fire not once but twice.
