The road to publication
Are you an experienced writer and in the process of writing your first novel, novella or collection of short stories? Would you like feedback and help from an established published writer? If so, this is the course for you. It is especially designed to support writers struggling with their first work and it has the added advantage of bringing your work to the attention of Holland Park Press.
This course enables you to learn more about development of characters, handling of subject and plot, dialogue, context, composition, use of time and flashback, developing style and building tension. Your manuscript will be edited, and you will receive a full report.
The Road to Publication is more than just a course. The participating writers can comments on each other's work, exchange material and encourage each other. With the help from an established writer you will find and/or refine your own style and theme.
At the end of each course the best excerpt will be published on our web site.
You will receive a password to access each session and send in your completed task. Sessions will be replaced every two weeks. This password will also enable you to join a forum exclusive to the course to interact with other participants and your tutor.
You can also follow the course as an individual not as part of a group. In this case you receive one to one supervision from the tutor.
In this case the course is centered around your own manuscript, this covers the beginnings of a novel or a poetry collection. The personal course can start at a time that is most convenient to you.
